Course overview

Build integrated AI agents for real enterprise workflows

Build agents that connect enterprise work

An isolated chatbot is different from an agent that acts across business systems. This three-day course is designed for developers and advanced builders with Copilot Studio experience. It develops the skills needed to extend agents with enterprise data, tools and workflows, while accounting for security, governance and operations.

Design richer conversations and actions

Explore how topics, variables, adaptive cards, prompts and generative answers shape an agent's responses. Learn how agent flows coordinate actions, handle inputs and outputs, respond to errors and introduce human approval. Consider channel, identity and deployment choices for internal or customer-facing solutions.

Integrate knowledge and coordinate agents

Examine how Microsoft 365 Copilot connectors, Power Platform connectors and Azure AI Search provide access to enterprise knowledge. Extend agents through REST APIs, custom connectors and Model Context Protocol (MCP) tools. Explore multi-agent collaboration with Copilot Studio, Microsoft Foundry, Microsoft Fabric data agents and Agent2Agent (A2A) communication. Consider computer use for tasks requiring interaction with an application's interface.

Test, deploy and maintain responsibly

An enterprise agent must be evaluated beyond whether it produces a plausible answer. Review test sets and evaluation methods, monitoring with Application Insights, and application lifecycle management through solutions, environment variables and Power Platform Pipelines. Examine responsible AI and access controls that reduce risk when agents retrieve information or take action.

Prepare for AB-620 certification

The course follows Microsoft's three exam domains: planning and configuration, integration and extension, and testing and management. It supports preparation for AI Agent Builder Associate assessment; additional independent practice may be needed to consolidate advanced implementation skills.
